Battery Point Lighthouse is an historic lighthouse located at the foot of Lighthouse Way in Crescent City, California. It is also one of the first lighthouses on the California coast and is only accessible at low tide.

It was first lit on December 10, 1856 and operated by the U.S. Lighthouse Service until 1936 and later by the U.S. Coast Guard. It was then automated in 1953. It is still used today as a private aid to navigation.

When I saw this lighthouse and had access because of the low tide, I just had to take advantage. Especially with the time of day and year with the cloud colors and the flowers.
